### Summary
This position is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in the Business and Technology Division.
This position is a permanent, career seasonal, full-time position with a minimum of 42 weeks (21 pay periods) but generally not more than 50 weeks (25 pay periods) a year. Periods of non-pay will generally occur in the months of December - January.

### Responsibilities
This position is supervisory in nature. The incumbent directs the daily activities of the fee collection operation at Saguaro National Park including supervising staff and overseeing the collection of fees. Responsible for remittances to bank and balancing credit card transactions. Subordinate employees collect and account for fees, disseminate information and provide resource orientation to visitors. As the supervisor, the incumbent personally performs these major duties but also performs supervisory responsibilities for at least 25% of the time.

Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
* You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties. Prior to your first official motor vehicle operation, and again every year thereafter (or more frequently if management determines such need exists), you will be required to sign an affidavit certifying to your possession of a valid State issued driver's license that is current and has not been revoked, suspended, canceled, or otherwise disqualified in any way to prohibit your operation of a motor vehicle. You will also submit a photocopy of your valid State issued driver's license prior to your first official motor vehicle operation, and again every year, or more frequently if management determines such need exists. Lastly, you may be required to submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that discloses all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. Please indicate in your application whether you possess a valid State driver's license.
* You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
* If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
* You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.
### Qualifications
**SELECTIVE FACTOR:** This position performs fee collection, and handling money is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position.

To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
**EXPERIENCE:** At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: planning, scheduling, and assigning work to subordinate staff collecting fees and provides technical and policy direction according to agency fee management. You must include hours per week worked.
**Volunteer Experience:** Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
**You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".**

### Additional information
**Physical Demands:** Standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, lifting of moderately heavy items and sedentary work is required. Mental stress and physical fatigue occur due to high volume of personal contacts and the responsibility of dealing with large amounts of money.
**Working Conditions:** Work is often performed in small, outdoor structures with open windows which results in exposure to extremes of temperature, rain, snow, wind, and direct sunlight. Park areas may be geographically located in areas of high elevation, rugged terrain, or dense populations. High levels of vehicle noise and emissions may exist during heavy visitation periods. Duties may be performed alone in isolated locations.
**Area Information:**Bullfrog, Utah is a small, remote, in-park community of approximately 300 residents during the summer and about 100 residents in the winter. Amenities include a marina, marina store and gas docks, seasonal lodge and restaurant, gas station/convenience store and garage, and urgent care clinic, and a K-12 school. Teacher/student ratio is 1 teacher per 2-5 students. Full service communities are in Blanding, Utah (90 miles) and Monticello, Utah (115 miles) which has a small hospital and dentists. Major services are available in Cortez, Durango, and Grand Junction, Colorado, or Page, Arizona, all 3 to 5 hours away via all-weather highways. The Bullfrog Sub-District encompasses beautiful red-rock canyon country. Bullfrog is the main access point to Lake Powell in the uplake District and visitation is heavy in the summer. Summer temperatures run to the low 100's and winter temperatures are in the 30's with sunshine most days of the year. Recreation runs the spectrum of outdoor activities with backpacking, canyoneering, skiing (water and snow), boating, whitewater sports, hunting and fishing all within a few hours' drive and some within walking distance of the housing area. This is an active outdoor community and social events are common**.**
